Manager Selection
Intech work closely with their global partner RogersCasey, one of the largest asset researchers and consultants in the United States, to identify quality international investment managers for the Underlying Fund.

Intech together with RogersCasey, use a rigorous manager research process that is asset sector specific and involves comprehensive filtering and screening processes. This process results in a suitable manager ‘buy list’ that is incorporated into the Underlying Fund.

Intech’s investment specialists vigorously research investment managers to identify exceptional talent. From this group of talented managers, Intech undertakes further qualitative and quantitative research to select those managers most likely to outperform. These managers are then combined to produce the best blend of differing investment styles and expected outcomes of their investment convictions. All of Intech’s selected investment managers are expected to deliver investment returns in excess of their performance benchmarks over the longer term.

Selecting only the best specialist managers is the key to achieving good multi-manger performance results. Intech believe that successful managers exhibit sustainable competitive advantages.

The main factors considered in Intech’s assessment of managers are:
People – the most important aspect;
Process – complementary with the people, their investment philosophy and funds under management;
Business management – aligned with the interests of clients.
